Rise From your Grave and Finish This Game



New Art?! For this ancient game? I started on Nib a long time ago. I put it in a published status 5 years ago! But, I showed it at a local show during fall. It got me really excited about it's development again. So, more Nib is coming. Things that are broken, are getting fixed. 

Why'd things get derailed? I was busy. I was working with Igloosoft on the game Farworld Pioneers. Farworld is done, and I'd love to expand what I've got in Nib. I've got a plan for what I'd like to expand into, so I plan to share that roadmap of what next steps look like soon. The most recent work ahs been about fixing bugs and reworking how some things work mechanically. Also, new art, because we are adding new stuff. 

  • Levels => You won't just be in one big long level, but there are going to be other areas to explore with their own themes and flavor and mechanics. This pic is from one of those new level ideas. 
  • Progression => We'll be dropping the default hardcore one death and restart design paradigm for one with soft save points. There will likely be an option to play it on a hardcore mode as well. 
  • Mechanics => I've learned a lot about game design while I've been working on other stuff. I've got a bunch of stuff on the drawing board that I am experimenting with. New attacks and means for moving around. 
  • Story => There is a story now. With interactive critters and dialogues. 
  • Other => Miscellaneous stuff
